Part of the E&S Honors application is a one- to two-page thesis proposal which includes a description of your thesis question, what is already known about it (reference a few key papers if possible), and how you plan to go about studying the topic.

After your thesis advisor reviews your proposal, please send it as an attachment (Word or pdf format) to the E&S program mailbox (environment@cornell.eduusing the file name (Lastname_thesisproposal) and subject line (Lastname_thesisproposal). The deadline to apply is September 16 but we encourage earlier application whenever possible. If you cannot meet this deadline, please email Irby Lovette (ijl2), E&S Honors Program Coordinator, to discuss (subject line: ES thesis candidate).
